LOKKER research referenced in Healthcare Info Security Article “Health Entity Says Tracking Code Breach Affects 3 Million”

LOKKER was recently featured on the Healthcare Info Security podcast, with CEO Ian Cohen discussing how the Meta pixel has come under fire for sharing personal health information from hospital websites and client portals. Another hospital, Advocate Aurora Health, recently acknowledged their use of the pixel and is treating it as a breach of their patients’ data. As the article mentioned, LOKKER did a scan of more than 5,000 healthcare websites and found that about 2,500 of them had the Meta pixel, meaning we might see more of these cases continue to pop up.
